Who are we?

Pure Recycle is a start-up company based in Tampere, Finland. We use a flexible production system designed in-house. Our people are full of spunky perseverance (in Finland, we call it “ Sisu”).

For years, we have dreamed of inventing a small device for recycling cans and plastic bottles. The dream has become a reality in the form of a smart, small, and cost-efficient innovation for all types of businesses and public locations.
Countries with deposit systems already in place achieve far better results both in quality and in efficiency when it comes to recycling. Hopefully, others will follow towards a greener future of the circular economy. The many challenges in the recycling of cans and bottles are ongoing, and millions of tons of valuable materials are disposed of and wasted globally. The Pure Smart Crusher is a smart and cost-efficient solution in keeping aluminum and plastic away from our oceans and nature. The challenge is global, and therefore it is best to make it visual for what is about to follow.

Pure Recycle is a Finnish cleantech company from Tampere, driven by a simple but ambitious mission: making recycling effortless, accessible, and efficient — everywhere. Our team embodies the Finnish concept of sisu: determination, resilience, and the courage to solve problems others consider too difficult.

For years, we dreamed of creating the world’s smallest, smartest device for recycling cans and plastic bottles. Today, that dream is a patented reality. Our PURE RVM product family offers compact, cost‑efficient, and digitally connected solutions for businesses, events, municipalities, and countries building or expanding their deposit return systems.

Because our devices are small, mobile, and easy to install, they are perfect for locations where traditional RVMs simply don’t fit — kiosks, petrol stations, restaurants, cafés, bars, sports venues, festivals, events, and other high‑traffic public spaces. Wherever people consume beverages, PURE RVM solutions make recycling possible right at the point of use.

We operate with a flexible, in‑house production model and collaborate with leading partners across Europe and Africa. Our technology is certified by PALPA in Finland, approved in multiple European markets, and protected by intellectual property rights in 14 European countries as well as the USA and Canada.

Countries with deposit systems consistently achieve higher recycling rates and cleaner material streams. As the EU moves toward mandatory deposit systems by 2029, we help nations, retailers, and brands meet these requirements with affordable, scalable solutions. In many regions, millions of tons of valuable aluminum and PET are still lost every year. Our RVMs prevent this by compacting materials at the point of consumption — reducing logistics emissions by up to 90% and keeping plastics and metals out of nature and our oceans.

Pure Recycle is expanding rapidly across Europe, Eastern Africa, and the UK, supported by strong industry partnerships, a robust IT ecosystem, and a growing network of distributors. Our vision is global, but our purpose is simple: to make recycling so easy and efficient that choosing sustainability becomes the natural choice for everyone.
